Best time to Visit
Good time to visit
Average time to visit
Isolated from much of India by the Western Ghats, the climate of Kerala & Karnataka is tropical and as a result of the mountain ranges the area isn’t as dry as much of India. The best time to visit is from January through to April. While there can be the occasional light showers these are just a prelude of the wet weather to come. The weather is generally hot and humid during this early summer. The monsoon season arrives in early June and thus can wash out July and August. September is much more humid as a result of the rainy season, and the fall can be dry but with the humidity this makes it feel quite warm. There can be a little rain in the night in October and November. The temperatures cool down and the humidity lets up as winter comes in around December, with this season lasting until February when the dry spring returns. Winter can be a pleasant time to visit, especially if you’re looking to head off the beach and explore the rest of this Indian land of mystery.

Carnoustie Ayurveda and Wellness resort focuses on yoga, detox, wellness, healing and complete relaxation. There are five types of villa thatched in local style and offering a fusion of traditional and modern keralan style. Bathrooms are large with power showers and huge plunge baths and the rooms have large walk in dressers and offer a high standard on the beach. The pool villas (Punag plunge pool and Semantha, Zukra and Mailka with private pool) are the best villas to book . Carnoustie also has a private houseboat if you wish to take a tour of the backwaters. The restaurant has a full a la carte menu but at present no alcohol . There are aplthora of activities including bicycle rides round local villages, visits to Cochin, early morning yoga on the beach, ayurvedic spa, art and dance performances by locals every evening, tours to local temples. You will relax and enjoy activities for a truly unique holiday

Carnoustie Wellness Resort & Spa is a beautiful property with just forty thatched villas and some really great facilities. The resort offers a beautiful big infinity pool, a spa offering both Ayurvedic and modern treatments, as well as two great restaurants and two bars. However, it is worth noting that the resort currently doesn't have an alcohol license. If you're looking for a couple of days of serious pampering, then why not book one of the resorts wellbeing packages which includes specially designed menus, yoga classes and a variety of Ayurvedic treatments.

Carnoustie Ayurveda & Wellness Resort is every ounce the luxury resort it set out to be. Only half an hour drive out of Allepey is close to the backwaters and with reach of the beach. Set amidst the beautiful palm trees of Kerala, you are surrounded by the very best of 'God's own Country' and provided with the perfect restful and rejuvenating escape. The Spa hasn't won copious amounts of awards for no reason!
