Mornings and late afternoons are the ideal time to appreciate the staggering beauty of the landscapes. From the chiselled peaks and river bends of Texas to the Grand Canyon and endless sagebrush of Nevada, the Southwest is never less than thrilling. You can experience all of this by saddle or paddle, bike or hike, on skis or on the breeze. When the sun dips below the horizon, head for the bright lights of Vegas for blackjack or a show, or relax around the glowing embers of a desert campfire.
