The Terme Manzi Hotel & Spa is located on the wonderful island of Ischia the largest of the Phlegrean Islands surrounding the Bay of Naples. Sheltered from the mass market tourism of its infamous neighbor Capri, the island moves at a slower pace and still retains a naive charm hard to find elsewhere on the Amalfi Coast.
Terme Manzi sits just inland from the coast above the town of Casamicciola made famous in Roman times by the magical healing qualities of its thermal springs. The original Manzi Baths were built on this site in 1863. A hotel since 1963 the property underwent a six year renovation for the millennium reopening its doors in 2006.
The hotel is home to a 2 Michelin Star Restaurant Il Mosaico and the mosaic theme runs throughout the hotel's design with artifacts gathered from across the globe combining with traditional touches.
Operating a complimentary shuttle service the hotel is the perfect base from which to enjoy the island's various towns and attractions as well as the private area of beach the hotel offers to its guests in the summer.
The huge spa utilizes the full potential of the Gurgitiello Spring that the hotel is built on and makes it an ideal retreat for those looking to detox or soothe aching bodies after touring the Amalfi coast.
All 58 rooms are decorated in a beautiful, classic style with strong, traditional Ischian finishing's. Each room comes with daily newspaper, TV, Wi-Fi, mini bar and air conditioning.
The hotel does not operate any specific facilities for children although babysitting and interconnecting rooms are available on request. The indoor spa pool does not allow children under 12.
With three bars and restaurants to choose from, Relais & Chateaux Terme Manzi has lots to offer. The Gli Ulivi Restaurant provides classic Ischian dishes which are made from the freshest produce and sumptuous breakfast buffets. In summer Snack Bouganville by the outdoor pool and terrace offers amazing vistas and fresh cocktails as well as light lunches .
The hotel is home to one of Campania's finest restaurants the 2 Michelin star Il Mosaico. Chef Nino di Costanzo creates visually stunning modern cuisine focussed on the history region and the islands produce. The restaurant also offers guests the chance to enjoy a front row seat with three chefs tables available in the kitchen at no additional charge.

When to go
The best time to visit the Amalfi Coast is in spring or late summer, when temperatures are pleasant and humidity levels are low. In July and August the climate is hot and humid, while the area is busy with tourists. Hotels in the Amalfi Coast tend to close for the winter, starting in October until they reopen in late March or April.
