The lodges are open for summer adventures from the beginning of July until the beginning of September each year. This makes the most of the best possible weather although as you are in the mountains, the weather can change very quickly so guests should come equipped for this.
The lodges are open for winter heli skiing experiences from mid December through until mid April

Offering Heli Hiking Adventures in the heart of the Columbia Mountain range, CMH Heli Adventures is the perfect choice for those wishing to get off the beaten track in to some of the most beautiful scenery the Rockies has to offer.
Canadian Mountain Vacations specializes in adventure skiing and hiking vacations from their two lodges deep in the Columbia Mountains. Accessible by helicopter only from close to Banff, guests can enjoy skiing and hiking in pristine scenery completely off the beaten track.
Spend 2,3 or 4 days being guided through pristine flower filled valleys, lead to jaw dropping spires, travel across free flowing rivers by zip line or for the thrill seekers, pause before placing your first foot on the first rung of the via ferrata.
After an exhilarating day in the mountains, return to one of the comfortable and welcoming lodges.
Bugaboo Lodge and Bobbie Burns Lodge each offer their own hiking programs or you can travel between the two on longer trips.
Each of the lodges offers warm and comfortable accommodations with en suite bedrooms, comfortable guest lounges with fireplace, full service bars and the all important sauna, whirlpool and massage services, much needed after a fun and challenging day out on the mountains.
Meals are offered communal style and chefs rustle up sumptuous and delicious favorites, the pastry goodies go down particularly well.
The various trips are detailed on the Experiences section and can be added to any longer itinerary or on their own. They have private adventures and family adventures as well as their classic heli hiking trips.
Hiking at Bobbie Burns Lodge - Bobbie Burns Sub Range
The magnificent Bobbie Burns, named for the distinguished Scottish poet, tempt even the most avid hikers with wondrous mountain terrains. Home to the Conrad Glacier and Mt. Nimbus Via Feratta, adventure seekers will revel traversing this shimmering glacier and scaling rock formations on a series of metal rungs, allowing access to incredible venues from seemingly unattainable summits. Zip lines and rope courses provide additional opportunity for exhilaration and are perfectly balanced with serene ridge walks along deep river basins, exploring emerald forests and experiencing geological marvels first hand.
Hiking at Bugaboo Lodge - Bugaboo Sub Range
Although the Bugaboos are renowned for their commanding granite spires, exploration here will reveal an abundance of blossoming meadows, placid icy lakes and ancient rock formations. Thrill seekers will relish the Skyladder Via Ferrata and their ascent toward the sky or a walk through time on a trek over the glaciers beneath the commanding spires. Long coveted by adventurists the world over, this amazing journey will place you into the elite group who can boast about their encounter with the seemingly unreachable
Rooms are simple, clean and cosy and all offer private bathrooms.
Bugaboo Lodge offers 32 rooms, 12 with one Queen bed and 20 with two Queen beds. There are no interconnecting rooms available.
Bobbie Burns Lodge offers 24 rooms, 6 Single, 16 Double or Twin rooms and 2 Triple rooms, all with private bathrooms. There are no interconnecting rooms available.
Families are welcome at the lodges and there are specific itineraries designed for family groups. Due to the nature of the experience though, this is better suited to older children and teenagers who can make the most of the hiking activities on offer.
Each lodge features a comfortable lounge with sofas and fireplace, communal dining room where guests dine together and a games room. They also both offer a sauna and whirlpool and massage services, an indoor climbing wall, exercise equipment and outdoor swimming pool as well as a gift shop.
The rooftop hot tub at Bugaboo Lodge is a particular favorite, a great place to gaze at the night sky and enjoy the sounds of silence. There is WiFi connectivity throughout both lodges.

Bobbie Burns Lodge offers a valley bottom adventure trail with 7 zip-lines over raging rivers, a spectacular high ropes course, the much-talked-about Mt. Nimbus Via Ferrata and the Conrad Glacier Adventure Trail which combines hiking, via ferrata elements, ziplines and more!
In addition to some of the most glorious hiking and walking routes in the world, the Bugaboo Lodge is home to The Skyladder Via Ferrata as well as one of CMH's newest summer adventures; CMH Glacier Treks.
3-Night Family Helicopter Adventure
From little ones to teens, CMH Family Adventures are designed to ensure kids of all ages have a fun-filled and activity packed few days exploring the Columbia Mountains. Zip-lines, rock-climbing and visiting glaciers will definitely keep kids entertained!

Take a 3-day heli-hiking trip through Canada's Columbia Mountain Range and experience unrivalled views of the rugged scenery from the air and on foot. Explore mountain ridges and meadows, getting well and truly off the beaten path!
Day 1 - Farewell Harbour Lodge
On your first day at Farewell Harbour, you'll arrive at the lodge by water taxi from Alder Bay. After a welcome orientation and lunch, you'll head off by zodiac in search of marine wildlife on the Johnson Strait.
Day 2 - Farewell Harbour Lodge
Today will be a wildlife viewing day to remember as you head out by boat to on your first full day bear viewing adventure to one of the main grizzly viewing estuaries.
Day 3 - Farewell Harbour Lodge
Today you'll be back on the water for another bear viewing safari or you can opt for an extenstive exploration of the Johnstone Strait in search of whales.
Day 4 - Farewell Harbour Lodge
Today you'll choose to enjoy your last day at Farewell Harbour either on a guided rainforest hike, a marine excursion or take a short kayak around Farewell Harbour, and soak in this secluded and spectacular island in the Great Bear Rainforest.
Via Ferrata and Glacier Trek Heli Adventures
Get your adrenaline pumping on these 3 or 6 day heli-adventures, perfect for ultimate thrill seekers. Each day offers a new experience from the rungs of Mt Nimbus Via Ferrata through to hiking the immense Conrad Icefield or zip lining across a river.
