Best time to Visit
Good time to visit
Average time to visit
Any time of year is good for a visit. Summer draws the tourists. The crowds create fascinating street life and a buzz wherever you go. And in turn, the city really pulls out the red carpet for visitors: everyone from musicians to acrobats to actors in period costume take to the streets. There's also terrific festivals and oodles of special museum exhibitions and tours. Fall and spring bring beautiful colours, dramatically reduced prices and thinner crowds. And in the winter, Caribou, an alcoholic drink enjoyed by the early settlers, is sold everywhere to keep people warmed up. Even in the darkest and coldest months of January and February, Quebecers have found a way to have fun: throwing the annual Winter Carnival, arguably the biggest, most colourful and most successful winter festival around.

Description
So much more than a hotel, the Auberge St Antoine lives and breathes the history of Old Quebec in a stylish and elegant environment. An ideal choice for couples and families alike this beautiful hotel fuses contemporary living with old world charm.
This stunning hotel opened in 1992 and immediately impressed with its lobby set in the city’s only remaining 19th century dockside warehouse. Over the last two decades the hotel has grown whilst still retaining its historic traditions and adding a unique concept of blending the historic artefacts found during the excavations into a living museum for guests to enjoy. This concept is apparent from the moment you walk in with fascinating wall displays adorning the lobby area and then down into the cosy bar. Here you will find modern furnishings side by side with centuries old artefacts.
The hotel offers a superb fine dining restaurant in Panache, an elegant yet warm and vibrant restaurant perfect for a sumptuous breakfast or an intimate dinner for two. There is an extensive wine cellar to choose from as well as an impressive variety of menu choices sourced from the local area.
The hotel also offers a gym, massage rooms and tucked away, its very own cinema for guest use. Guest rooms lend themselves to couples or families alike, offering a choice of contemporary style or the unusual “Maison Hunts” the historic themed suites in the oldest part of the hotel, quite an experience in themselves.
