Alberta has a dry continental climate with warm summers and cold winters, making it a year round destination. The ski season is from December to March and the summer season from May to September. At any time of year you can expect the sun to be out. Winters can get cold, when the temperature can plummet to a bone chilling -20°C. Summers tend to be hot and dry, with the warmest months being July and August, where the temperature sits at a comfortable 25°C.

Each cabin boasts modern amenities and well-appointed, charming bathrooms so guests can expect an exceptionally comfortable and convenient stay.
In the main lodge, guests will find a relaxing spa area featuring a hot tub and a sauna. Soak your muscles after a tiring day of exploring or simply sit in the solarium and relax with a book as you enjoy the mountain views from its glass walls.
Bear Hill Lodge is made up of Chalets, Homesteads (duplex buildings), Cabins, Cottages and Guestrooms. Some are simple and some are luxurious, and each accommodation type has its own unique features that will be suitable for couples or families. Some accommodation have small kitchenettes, so you can cook and enjoy family meals in the comfort of your own cabin. Those that don't have a kitchenette, have breakfast included in their rate during the summer months. Those in cabins with kitchenettes can purchase breakfast for $14 per person, per day if they wish.
Amongst the cabins of Bear Hill Lodge, there is a cosy breakfast room where guests can relax in the morning and enjoy a continental breakfast. There is also a sauna as well as a spacious sauna in a glass building from where guests can relax and enjoy the surrounding scenery.
Bear Hill Lodge is a great place from which to explore Jasper National Park and all the activities it offer. Go hiking on nearby trails, visit Athabasca Falls and go white water rafting or take a river float along Maligne Lake to the stunning Spirit Island.
Admire the night sky with a visit to Jasper Planetarium, where the vast clear skies make for some fantastic stargazing. Enjoy guided tours and Q&A sessions with the experts and add on time with the telescopes to learn more about our solar system.
