Al Hayer Falls

Wadi Bani Khalid lies on the edge of Wahiba Sands; the expansive golden-duned desert that occupies the middle of Oman. Despite what may initially seem like an arid landscape, many of the dramatic rock formations conceal hidden canyons such as Wadi Bani Khalid, which feature deep running water and pockets of greenery.
The Al Hayer area of Wadi Bani Khalid has long stretches of water for swimming, and an impressive waterfall with a number of jumping off points into the pool below. Out of the water there are also plenty of pathways to explore.
You will be accompanied by a guide, and safety equipment is provided. Lunch is included, and you will usually spend between five to seven hours in the wadi, which is roughly 2.5-3 hours by road from Muscat, or 1.5 hours from the desert properties, depending on the camp.
