Places to Visit in Oman
Oman is quite a sparsely populated country; therefore the sheer majesty of the landscapes usually takes centre stage. Oman has one main city worth visiting: Muscat. Here you can visit the stunning Mosque which really is a site to behold, it was gifted to the people by their Sultan.
You can take in a show at the beautiful Opera House, even if the shows aren’t running the architecture of this building is worth experiencing. Along the coast is the town of Sur where you can spend some time at a Dhow factory and watch the skilled labourers making these authentic boats. The desert is a must, for those who haven’t explored a desert before it is truly magnificent. The views are breath-taking as you look as far as the eye can see and rolling dunes fade into the distance. The mountains are arid, dramatic and simply make you feel at peace with the world as you take in the stunning vistas from the top.
