South Tyrol

As Italy’s most northern region on the Austrian border, South Tyrol is an exquisite blend of Italian and Austrian culture, history and language. The Dolomites form part of the Southern Alps and became a UNESCO World Heritage Site back in 2009. These mountains remain unique by being the only World Heritage Site in which you can ski and are home to the Dolomiti Superski, the world’s largest ski network and the famous Sella Ronda ski route.

With an astounding 23 Michelin stars spread across 18 restaurants, South Tyrol is something of a magnet for gourmands. The dining is a fusion between Mediterranean and Alpine cuisine, so you can expect dishes such as ravioli, ossobuco, as well as apple strudel and dumplings.

The skiing in South Tyrol is unique – spellbinding scenery, warm hospitality and sensational food and drink form part of an incredible experience that shouldn’t be missed.
