Best time to Visit
Good time to visit
Average time to visit
Val d’Isère boasts one of the longest ski seasons in the world because, unlike other resorts above 1800m, 80% of the skiing happens above 2000 metres. As a result, early and late season offer reliable great conditions. Being high, it is cold though and we think March and April are the best times to visit Val.

Description
Situated in the exclusive Le Petit Alaska collection of private ski chalets in Val d'Isère, Chalet Jupiter is a superbly finished chalet (120m²) sleeping 6+2 with a balcony hot tub and hammam and is an ideal choice for a luxury family ski holiday.
Chalet Jupiter is a luxurious chalet which forms part of the exclusive Le Petit Alaska private estate in Val d'Isère.
The chalet can sleep up to eight but ideally is most comfortable for a party of six. Accommodation is split over three levels, with the master bedroom nestled in the eaves and the three further bedrooms on the ground floor. Each bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom and there's the added bonus of a hot tub on the balcony and a hammam to ease away the aches and pains after a hard day on the piste.
The living accommodation is on the first floor and consists of an open plan kitchen, dining and living area, complete with open fire place and two sets of French doors leading on to the large south facing balcony.
The interior design of this chalet really impresses - cleverly combining a mix of traditional chalet-style materials with some more unique, contemporary touches. The furnishings are modern in style and complement the natural wood and stone beautifully.
Chalet Jupiter has parking for two cars for guests who like to drive to the resort.

Activities
Val d’Isère is a mecca for downhill skiing for good reason. It has enough to keep skiers of all standards challenged and entertained for a lifetime, let alone a week. The off piste potential is limitless and the snow record enviable.
Val d'Isère has plenty to offer less enthusiastic skiers too. The Centre Aquasportif has fantastic facilities including 2 swimming pools, climbing wall, multi activity sports hall, fitness suite, gym, squash courts and a Wellness area with sauna, steam bath, spa, cold baths and hydro-massage.
Designated walking trails are a great way of appreciating the scenery and there is an ice rink, husky riding, parapenting, skidooing, cross country skiing and much more.
There is a wealth of quality restaurants in the village and on the mountain (many of which are accessible to non skiers). The shops and galleries offer some great shopping (both the window and the real varieties).

Blunt Party - December 2018 (Guest)
Ella's food was fantastic every meal time. We especially enjoyed our Chinese banquet she made specially for one of our guest's birthdays. Raphaelle was very helpful. Booking our restaurants at dinner time and helped with any extra requests we have asked for. Drivers were fab. Bringing the kids snowboards one day at 12 when we were skiing so kids could swap boots.
Bray Family - March 2018 (Guest)
This Scott Dunn ski trip but it was THE best way for the children to embark on their first ski holiday. Not only was the chalet itself total luxury, but it was all the extras, like someone taking you to the ski shop and even more amazingly, taking you to the slopes and back every day, someone sorting your passes out for you and all the lessons- even the coach ride to the resort on a deliciously uncrowded coach with a lunch hamper on the seat. We felt tremendously lucky with the totally delightful chalet staff who really made our holiday - the lovely chef Jordie cooked with all of the children as well as making us exceptionally good food every night. And Eka, the fantastic chalet host, who was so kind and put up with endless chatting and questions from the children while looking after us beautifully. And Becky, who came round to check on us every night, could not have been kinder too. All the hassle had been taken out of the trip and all there was left to do was ski!- It was such a huge treat for us - we were very, very lucky with the weather too, which always helps.
It was truly the most amazing week, we felt like the luckiest people in the world and will cherish the memories from what was the ultimate family holiday.
Jolly Family - February 2017 (Guest)
Jasmine, Oli and Beth did a fabulous job looking after us. They were extremely attentive and made our holiday very special. Oli never stopped, always looking for opportunities to tidy up and serve us. Plus his napkins were incredible! Jasmine made some amazing creations - absolutely delicious food for us and the kids. And went above and beyond hanging out our washing! And finally Beth was an awesome nanny - striking a great balance and fitting in around us, being very flexible and taking the girls to lots of different things. Big thanks to you all for making it a wonderful holiday.

A real favourite of mine Chalet Jupiter is a wonderful property. Whether youre a traditional Alpine chalet lover or prefer contemporary chic, youll love this chalet, it covers all bases. The hammam and hot-tub are just perfect for a pre-supper treat for your tired ski legs. The only difficulty is deciding who gets the incredible master bedroom!

Chalet Jupiter is an intimate and cosy, yet slick and cool chalet located in Le Petit Alaska estate.
The large open plan living area allows you and your fellow guests to enjoy the banter of the day's skiing by the crackling open fire. Picture yourself with a glass of Sancerre in hand, with aromatic smells drifting in from the kitchen, teasing your taste buds, whilst your chef and staff are preparing a sumptuous gourmet dinner. The thought of another day on the mountain suddenly becomes a difficult decision, and maybe a mid-week day off to relax in the Hammam, lounging with a book on the deep sofas, or even an in-chalet massage becomes a distinct possibility.
The Savoyard charm and cool design of Chalet Jupiter blended with the Scott Dunn service will send you home working out what you can possibly do to distract yourself for the next 358 days until you can return!
