Val d'Isère boasts one of the longest ski seasons in the world because, unlike other resorts above 1800m, 80% of the skiing happens above 2000 metres. As a result, early and late season offer reliable great conditions. Being high, it is cold though and we think March and April are the best times to visit Val.

Scott Dunn pioneered skiing holidays with childcare, allowing parents the freedom to ski whilst their children are cared for impeccably by our nannies. Our handpicked childcare team are qualified professionals, whose enthusiasm and nurturing abilities are in abundance, so much so that both parents and children often ask to take them home. In Val d’Isère we have our exclusive Explorers kids club , which gives our hotel guests the freedom to ski all day, whilst your children have a holiday too. We look after children from as young as four months, with age appropriate activities and a collection service to and from ski school. A nutritious lunch is served each day, as well as healthy snacks, with any dietary requirements taken into account and your child’s routine will be strictly adhered to. We can also provide a wide range of equipment for babies and toddlers on request, including nappies and wipes, usually free of charge. And if you’d like to go out in the evening, we can provide babysitting.

The ski room offers quality equipment
Val d’Isère is a mecca for downhill skiing for good reason. It has enough to keep skiers of all standards challenged and entertained for a lifetime, let alone a week. The off piste potential is limitless and the snow record enviable.
Val d'Isère has plenty to offer less enthusiastic skiers too. The Centre Aquasportif has fantastic facilities including 2 swimming pools, climbing wall, multi activity sports hall, fitness suite, gym, squash courts and a Wellness area with sauna, steam bath, spa, cold baths and hydro-massage.
Designated walking trails are a great way of appreciating the scenery and there is an ice rink, husky riding, parapenting, skidooing, cross country skiing and much more.
There is a wealth of quality restaurants in the village and on the mountain (many of which are accessible to non skiers). The shops and galleries offer some great shopping (both the window and the real varieties).
Walker Party - December 2016 (Guest)
The flights, transfers were very stress free... Rob in Val d'Isere arranged all our lunches/dinners. Easy boot/ski hire. Le Yule was perfect, very relaxed, cool & comfortable. Love the Nuxe bathroom products! Alice in London arranged everything, it was perfect! Very, very stress free. Nothing to think about but enjoying ourselves...Le Yule is in a perfect position, the hotel has a lovely relaxed feel. It ticks a lot of boxes. Val d'Isere keeps its pistes in great shape.

The newly built Yule Hotel is the perfect example of a luxurious contemporary hotel in the mountains. Located in a great position in Val dIsere opposite the Solaise and Olympique lifts, Le Yule really does tick all the boxes. In terms of decor the theme is very Scandinavian with a fresh yet cosy vibe. The bar area is hidden behind a door creating a private feel and inside there are lots of plush sofas, comfy cushions, fur rugs and a variety of lamps, a great area to relax after dinner. The spa area is also fabulous with lots of natural light and great stone work, here guests can enjoy the pool and hot tub or simply lay back and relax on a lounger. In regard to accommodation, the slope facing rooms are my favourite. The beds face the large windows and it is such a treat to wake up to the stunning views of La Face and surrounding mountains.

What an exciting new hotel in Val dIsere! Le Yule combines 5* luxury with a relaxed and unpretentious atmosphere. It certainly is something fresh for Val dIsere as it really isn't quite like any of the existing hotels in resort. I think this hotel has something to suit everyone; it's luxurious for couples, lively for groups of friends as well as being family-friendly.
Its location is just unbeatable, set on the snow-front by the main lifts and ski school meeting point and still being really accessible into the centre for a meal, drink or mooch around the shops. Right by the main lifts and ski school meeting points means that your little ones aren't having to bother carrying heavy skis far and the games room can provide plenty of entertainment whilst you enjoy an aprs ski drink, I'd really recommend the Vin Chaud!
Bring out the winter Olympian in yourself with this energetic but classic Alpine pursuit.
Bun J Ride
Experience Tignes' latest thrill seeking adventure - ski, board or toboggan attached to a harness with two bunjee ropes.
Dog Sledding in Val d'Isère
Mush! And you're off! Drive your own dog sled, or take a guide and just sit and enjoy the ride.
Fine Dining at Altitude
Each week, two high-altitude restaurants in Val d'Isère will open their doors at night, enjoy a memorable dinner at altitude at the Folie Douce or Le Refuge de Solaise.
Heli-skiing in Val d'Isère
Whether you're a competent off-piste skier looking to heli-ski, or a piste skier looking to ski a wide variety of resorts, Val Heli-ski can create an itinerary that will take into account your preferences, your ski ability and the snow conditions.
Ice driving in Val d'Isère
One of the most thrilling experiences in a ski resort, ice driving is especially fun with a group of friends.
Ice skating in Val d'Isère
No Alpine holiday is complete without a session on the ice rink. The one in the centre of Val d'Isère is particularly good fun as well as being conveniently located. It is always a winner with children too.
Swimming in Val d'Isère
Val d'Isère has fantastic swimming facilities at the Centre Aquasportif Leisure Centre, and is well worth a trip if you're not skiing, or if you fancy a more relaxing bit of exercise after a day on the slopes.
