Best time to Visit

Good time to visit

Average time to visit

Provence enjoys a pleasant, Mediterranean climate. On average, Provence gets 300 days of sunshine each year, with warm but mild temperatures. Summer is high season here, with August bringing the hottest weather and the biggest crowds. Spring is a great time of year, the weather is warm, with temperatures swaying between 16 and 20°C, and the crowds are small. If you want to see lavender fields then it would be best to visit the region in June. In October the weather starts to cool. Fall is also the start of the wettest weeks of the year. October sees an average of 3.7 inches of rain, with an average of three inches following in November. Still, it never gets all that chilly and snow is rare. In January, the mercury rarely dips beneath the -1°C.

La Bergerie is a luxurious villa located on the Terre Blanche estate, sleeping up to 16 guests across the main house and charming guest house. With a wealth of facilities and close to Cannes and St Tropez, this is the perfect place to relax in style.

La Bergerie is a privately-owned villa set on a unique peaceful location within the exclusive Terre Blanche estate in the hills of Provence, while still being within 35 minutes of the glamour and beaches of Cannes. It is also within a short drive of some beautiful hilltop villages which should not be missed. The villa itself has been recently built and combines high quality materials and technology with classic French touches. This is the perfect place for guests to do as much or as little as they wish.`

La Bergerie works really well for families as well as groups of friends as there are two living rooms along with a generous living/dining/kitchen area leading out to the pool terrace. There is a cosy cinema room downstairs and a glass-fronted wine cellar, perfect for evenings in. On the first floor there are four double en-suite bedrooms all with access to a balcony or terrace including the Master suite which has stunning sunset views across the gardens. The second floor comprises two further cosy en-suite twin rooms, perfect for children or adults alike.

The separate guesthouse is less than a minute's walk from the main house and features two en-suite double bedrooms which share a central living area leading out onto the private terrace and surrounding gardens.

The outside area at La Bergerie is just as stunning as the interior with a large swimming pool (which can be heated on request) surrounded by a summer kitchen, lounge and south-facing terrace. Take a stroll around the grounds and discover the boules piste, fountains and shady spots perfect for a siesta.

Take advantage of the complimentary bikes at the villa and cycle through the tree-lined Terre Blanche estate, or indulge in the facilities offered at the nearby hotel, Terre Blanche Hotel Spa Golf Resort, which include a world-class golf course and spa, accessible at resort rates.

There is a never-ending array of experiences to enjoy within a short drive from the villa – from perfume making classes in Grasse to kayaking in the stunning Gorges du Verdon – that is, if you can tear yourself away from La Bergerie!

Claire Medlock (Staff)

La Bergerie is a very special place. I think it is the sense of calm and peace that hit me first. After the frenetic pace of coastal towns like Cannes, La Bergerie seems to be located in another world, as opposed to an easy 35-minute drive away. I loved exploring the grounds as there were so many different areas; from winding paths amongst the lavender to the stunning pool area. Another highlight for me were the staff. Ever-present but completely discrete, they ensured that we wanted for nothing during our stay and were sensitive to each guests individual requirements. You surely cannot fail to be impressed by the level of perfection at La Bergerie.
