After a few trips to the Yukon, Paul Wettstein and his wife and son made the leap and emigrated from Switzerland to Dawson City. The Aurora Inn was the best hotel they stayed in so they decided to make it their home and business.
Their Swiss hospitality shines through at the Aurora, from the welcoming home like reception area through to the pine clad dining room and open kitchen where guests can help themselves to tea, coffee and water day and night.
The Aurora Inn offers the privacy of a hotel with spacious guest rooms and en-suite bathrooms, however, with the smaller, more intimate feel of a bed and breakfast. The guest lounge and dining room is perfect for a late afternoon or evening chat with fellow guests before heading out to explore the evening diversions of Dawson City.
Each morning a European style continental breakfast of meats, cheeses, freshly made bread and fruit is served to each guest in the bright dining room.
The staff are always on hand to give guidance on the day ahead's activities and recommendations for local restaurants for lunch and dinner. They will also have the latest Aurora forecasts for those who are hoping to experience the captivating beauty of the Northern Lights, which will often appear late on dark clear nights above the city.

The inn offers 16 guest rooms and two Jacuzzi suites. Each room has an en-suite bath or shower room, spacious accommodations, fluffy towels, bathroom amenities, hair dryer, TV, direct dial telephone and complimentary WiFi.
Families are welcome at the Aurora Inn although there are no interconnecting rooms. There are some triple rooms and some with twin beds.
The inn offer a breakfast room with complimentary tea, coffee and water for guests as well as a lobby lounge with big screen TV and comfortable seating.
La Table on 5th restaurant reflecting European, North American and Mediterranean influences, is open for dinner 7 days a week from May to early September.
