The Muskoka Lakes region of Ontario is accessible year round, however, we would recommend the best time to visit is from late May to mid October. In July and August the weather is generally warm and sunny and the crystal clear lakes are warm enough to swim in. September and October bring cooler weather but beautiful Fall colors and the lakes are quieter and even more serene.

Only recently discovered by the International market, Muskoka Lakes has been the Canadian's best kept secret for many years. This beautiful region of picturesque lakes known as "Cottage Country" has long been the getaway of choice for the provinces city dwellers. Cottages have been passed down from generation to generation and are an opportunity for families to gather together in a stunning setting to spend time as a family.
Now we are able to give our guests the opportunity to have a taste of Canadian family life with their own cottage vacation in the Muskoka Lakes. Choose from small and simple cabin style dwellings through to luxurious and lavish almost mansion style homes on the lake front, with gorgeous lake views and the best locations.
Every cottage whether large or small is on the lake side. Most will have a private dock or rocky beach area from which you can dive in to the crystal clear waters, or perhaps dip in a toe or two only if it is a little too bracing...There is something magical about being sat on your wooden "Muskoka" chair on the edge of the dock looking out on to the serene water and watching the day be swallowed up into dusk. This is cottage living and is yours to experience.
Whether traveling as a couple, a group of friends or as a family, there is sure to be a cottage that ticks all the boxes. For guests looking for an independent experience in a beautiful setting, this really is the "cabin on a lake" that Canada is famous for.

Many of the cottages are family friendly and have child orientated bedrooms, however, there are no special children's facilities and no babysitting available. As all the cottages have lake frontages, guests are advised to bear this in mind when considering if a cottage rental is suitable for children that may not be able to swim.
Each cottage features a full kitchen, plentiful lounge and dining space and bathrooms. As these cottages are all individually owned, the layout will differ depending on each owners style. Most cottages will have private parking, outside seating, often with fire pits and barbecues as well as private docks or lake frontages for guest use. Some cottages also have their own canoes or boats and in some cases there are opportunities to rent motor boats from the owners as well.
