Food connoisseurs will be delighted by the sublime Relais & Chateaux restaurant, The Dining Room, where Chef Marcel and his team create three prix fixe menus daily using the freshest ingredients from the gardens and island farmers. The Dining Room can accommodate just 30 people ensuring a romantic and intimate experience. The Veranda is larger with picture windows overlooking the harbor and is perfect for more relaxed dining and for younger families.

Hastings House offers just 18 distinctive suites and 2 charming cottages.
The suites and cottages are scattered around the grounds ensuring a feeling of privacy and spaciousness. All the accommodations enjoy views either across the pretty gardens and grounds or our to the water and Ganges Harbour. Each room features a fireplace, cosy eiderdown duvets on luxurious queen and king-sized beds, fluffy robes, over-sized towels, elegant toiletries; many have private balconies and deep soaking tubs.
There are two rooms in the Manor House which enjoy the most central location and are a short walk from reception and the water. The two Farmhouse Suites are located over two floors with spacious King bed sitting rooms on the first floor and a cosy lounge with sofa bed and spacious bathroom on the ground floor. The 5 Barn guest rooms are perfect for couples wanting a quiet cosy setting in the gardens. The Hillside Suites are the most modern of the accommodations and have more modern day comforts such as air conditioning, heated floors. They all have picture windows, balconies and views over Ganges Harbour.
Post Cottage is the perfect romantic hideaway for couples with two rooms, a gas stove, King size bedroom and French windows opening up to the gardens.
Churchill Cottage is located at the back of the property and is the perfect place for a family wanting to be self contained within the hotel. It has three bedrooms, a full kitchen and a deck overlooking the gardens and harbor
Children are welcome at Hastings House although there are no particular facilities. Children 12 years and over are allowed in The Dining Room for dinner. Younger children can dine in the Veranda, Snug or back dining room. Child minding is available.
The Farmhouse Suites lend themselves well to young families and the Churchill Cottage is perfect for larger families

The Well Spring Spa is a tranquil oasis set within the gardens and offers a seductive selection of pampering treatments for guests to enjoy during their stay.
The Living Room is at the heart of the Hastings House manor house and is the perfect place to retreat to at the end of an active day with complimentary afternoon each afternoon in front of a crackling fire on cooler days. Pre-dinner cocktails can also be enjoyed here.
Salt Spring Island is yours to discover. Hire a car from the marina or head across on the local ferry to the artisan community of Ganges Harbour. Take a fishing or yacht charter out for the day from the harbor or hire bikes and visit some of the beaches, farms and markets that are on the island. Kayaking tours of the harbor and marine park depart from the marina and are ideal for families. The island is known for it's markets which, during the summer months, happen on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday in Ganges. The Saturday Farmers Market is particularly good.

Hastings House is normally open from March to October each year.
BC’s varied climate is influenced by latitude, elevation and ocean proximity but it’s generally warmer in the south and cooler in the north. Winters are mild in Vancouver and Victoria, with only brief snowfalls, while other regions – especially the north and the interior – are subject to freezing temperatures and heavy snow from November to March.
Spring and fall are often warm and pleasant but rainfall can be heavy, particularly on the coast. Summers (June to September) are mostly dry and sunny with warm temperatures, but the interior is hot in July and August, with temperatures surpassing 30°C
