Description

Set on peaceful and stunningly beautiful Emerald Lake in the heart of the Yoho Provincial Park, Emerald Lake Lodge offers rustic yet comfortable lodge rooms in an enviable location ideal as a base for exploring this stunning area of the Rockies.

Located just 30 minutes from Lake Louise and within easy reach of the Icefields Parkway, Yoho Provincial Park and heart of the Rocky Mountains, this cute lodge offers an affordable and cosy stay in one of the most beautiful areas of the mountains.

Emerald Lake offers pristine turquoise water with a backdrop of mountains and total tranquility. For guests lucky enough to stay at the lodge, the best time to make the most of the lake is first thing in the morning when it's calm and clear. There's a pathway that loops around the lake, perfect for a morning stroll or a boat house that hires kayaks for a gentle paddle across the lake to explore. It's the ultimate Canadian mountain lake experience.

The lodge itself is low key and rustic. Guest rooms are cosy with comfortable beds and fireplaces and many have views across the lake or peeping through the pine trees to the water.

There is a hot tub perfect for an evening dip after a day's exploring and also a fire pit for roasting marshmallows and warming yourselves on the cooler evenings.

Emerald Lake Lodge may not be a luxury hotel, however, it's charm and location are a huge draw and one to make it worth adding to an itinerary for the Rocky Mountains.
