Description

Steenberg Hotel, surrounded by stunning views of the Steenberg Mountains and out over False Bay, dates back to 1682. The entire structure has been restored beautifully with modern touches incorporated to meet guests high expectations, yet it maintains its seventeenth century style, to offer an experience that is now rare to come by.

Steenberg Hotel is made up of three main buildings, which all surround central gardens and grounds, immaculately maintained with pristine flowerbeds and a backdrop of perfectly cultivated vines that stretch into the distance. Amongst these grounds you will find the swimming pool, cleverly designed to feel hidden away and secluded.

Steenberg Hotel offers a wealth of things to do from playing on the exclusive and private 18 hole Steenberg Golf Course, for which guests of the hotel receive priority bookings, visiting their extensive spa or heading into the vineyards for some fine wine tasting before enjoying a delicious meal in one of their highly acclaimed restaurants: Catharina's, Bistro Sixteen 82 or Gorgeous by Graham Beck.

Catharina's is their classic restaurant which offers a fine dining experience and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Alternatively head to Bistro Sixteen 82 for an interactive wine and food experience in their modern cellar door restaurant, with outdoor terrace seating area where you can have breakfast, lunch or something from their tapas menu. The chef has created a raw bar with counter seating for those after something different and healthy. Gorgeous by Graham Beck is a brand-exclusive bubbly bar, which is the first of its kind in South Africa. Here you can enjoy these wines/champagne accompanied by delicious canapes.

Steenberg Hotel, only a 20-minute drive from the center of Cape Town means you can base yourself here whilst spending the days exploring the city's incredible sights and activities, from heading up Table Mountain to trying some of the worlds best restaurants.
