Best Time To Visit Cape Town
Holidays in Cape Town come with good weather all year round. However, this part of South Africa has its summer and peak season between November and March, with January being the busiest time for visitors. During the summer, Cape Town is very dry. You’ll get clear, blue skies and long, warm evenings. It can also get windy, which makes it great for windsurfing and kite surfing.
Spring is a beautiful time of year to explore Cape Town. It runs from September to October and brings with it cooler climes and less wind, as well turning the landscapes into a cacophony of colour when everything is in full bloom.
In autumn, from March to April, the temperature drops, the wind calms and the rains are yet to arrive. It is a lovely time to take a tour around Cape Town, when the city is quieter and the autumn light casts a golden hue across the coastline.
Lastly winter, which falls between June and August. Winter in Cape Town can see rain fall up to 10-11 days a month. But it’s also an easier time to see the attractions without the crowds and heat, and a magical time to see Cape Town’s surrounding areas – especially the Winelands.
