The birdwatching is also superb with sightings of bald eagles, puffins, harlequin ducks, and loons, while on land, wildlife hikes are great for spotting bears, mountain goats and Sitka blacktail deer.

Guests can also try their hand at shrimping and fishing. The Alaskan waters are awash with halibut, rockfish, and salmon, all of which make a tasty supper.
