Sea Mist Excursions
Create your ideal Alaskan cruise with a once-in-a-lifetime trip on the private yacht, Sea Mist. This customised cruise offers the chance to tailor the trip to your preferred itinerary with excursions and activities chosen to suit your specific interests.
Area
Alaska
Each day of an Alaskan cruise onboard the Sea Mist is a chance to design the trip to suit you. Even the itinerary has an element of choice, so decide whether you wish to explore the stunning coastal towns of Whittier, Juneau, Sitka, or Ketchikan, and let Captain Jeff Gorton know so he can schedule a day excursion. What’s more, there’s plenty of inspiration in choosing your personal combination of land, sea, and wildlife activities. From whale watching in Prince William Sound, to scouting for sea otters, seals, porpoises, and jelly fish and even visiting a local fish ‘hatchery’ to watch the salmon jump. The birdwatching is also superb with sightings of bald eagles, puffins, harlequin ducks, and loons, while on land, wildlife hikes are great for spotting bears, mountain goats and Sitka blacktail deer.
Guests can also try their hand at shrimping and fishing. The Alaskan waters are awash with halibut, rockfish, and salmon, all of which make a tasty supper. For those who enjoy more active pursuits, the ship has kayaks and paddleboards to enjoy on the water, or on land, let Captain Jeff lead you on a light expedition to a local gold mine or berry picking spot. A definite highlight is the chance to get close to the famous Alaskan glaciers. As a mid-sized yacht, the Sea Mist can get close to these beautiful ice formations for superb glacier viewing. Guests may even see the unforgettable sight of a glacier calving into the deep blue waters below.
