Hike Huayna Picchu

Machu Picchu, Peru

With a second day entry to Machu Picchu you can climb to the summit of Huayna Picchu (Wayna Picchu) for the classic bird's eye view over Machu Picchu, the lost city of the Incas.

The Huayna Picchu hike takes around 2-3 hours in total. It is a steep ascent so if you suffer from vertigo and aren't good with heights then it isn't recommended and can be omitted.

Hiking Huayna Picchu is limited to two entrance times: 07:00 or 10:00 and because of limited permits needs to be booked in advance. {Please note that tickets for Machu Picchu Mountain are available for 07:00 or 10:00 entry. Please confirm which one you would like us to purchase for you.} Children under the age of 12 are not allowed to climb.

Please make your way to the registration booth for Huayna Picchu before your climb (this is located at the far end of Machu Picchu beyond the central plaza between two open-fronted buildings) where you have to sign in.
