Dhulikel
Dhulikel was once an important trading centre on the direct route between Nepal and Tibet and is still considered as the administrative centre of the Kavrepalanchok District. It lays claim to one of the most beautiful vistas in the world, surrounded as itis by mountains and luxurious green plateaus.
As well as its impressive nature, Dhulikel is great for culture lovers, with Hindu and Buddhist temples to explore, including the Narayan temple dedicated to Lord Krishna. Here, August is a time of celebration, as the people honour the anniversary of Krishna’s birth.
