The suites are divided into two categories - Essenza Lounge and Essenza Cult - with Cult rooms occupying the upper floor, each boasting a private plunge pool, and Lounge rooms occupying the lower floor and providing direct access to the communal terrace and pool area. Jericoacoara is renowned worldwide for its kitesurfing and perfect watersports conditions, making it the perfect spot for adventure lovers and watersports enthusiasts. The town itself has a distinctly laid-back vibe and there are plenty of bohemian bars and restaurants nearby to while away the evenings, while the pool or ocean invites relaxation during the day. Each of the 30 rooms at Essenza boasts views of the ocean and towards the Sunset Dune. All have a private balcony or terrace with a plunge pool or direct access to the hotel's main pool. Super king-size beds boast high count linens and the bathrooms all have solar-heated rain showers.
The Essenza Lounge Suites offer direct pool access from the ground floor, with patio doors that open out onto a large shared terrace.
Essenza Cult suites are located on the upper floor and all boast sliding doors which open out directly onto a private plunge pool.
Facilities at Essenza include a large outdoor pool, a jacuzzi, wet bar, Turkish bath and Finnish bath. There are plenty of areas for relaxation including a terrace with table games to keep things social, a reading area where there is access to WiFi and the Aram spa where guests are invited to enjoy relaxing treatments. The Garden Club is home to the Essence Bistro where guests can enjoy delicious cuisine.
Jericoacoara is famed for its kitesurfing, but also offers plenty of other adventures on and off the water such as windsurfing, SUP, yoga, pilates, zumba, capoeira and dune bashing in the nearby national park. How to get there
12-hour 30-minute flight from London to Fortaleza followed by a 4-hour 30-minute 4WD transfer, a 45-minute air-taxi plus 45-minute 4WD transfer or a 1-hour heli-transfer.
You can also fly domestically from some airports in Brazil to Jericoacoara airport which is just over an hour's drive away.
