The Emiliano is incredibly stylish, and is likely to appeal to design-lovers, but I didn't find it overwhelming, as the service is truly excellent. I loved its location in Jardins, and the great shops and restuarants just a couple of minutes' stroll away.
Located in the heart of the Jardins in one of Sao Paulo’s most affluent and stylish neighbourhoods, Emiliano is a well-known hotel name that in recent years has managed to stay atop the luxury hotel market through a partnership with Leading Hotels despite the fact that its bigger (sometimes better) competitor Fasano is just a few blocks away. In the fashion of a late-90s NYC design hotel, a glass enclosed lobby features stark-white floors with diligent reception area that prides itself on personalized service. Furnishings feel very Armani, a play on Sao Paulo’s Italian roots translated through deep, modernist seating area accented in crisp chrome details showing its age. The high-rise location features a rooftop helipad as well as a much-used business center on the upper ground floor. Home to three restaurants, including gourmet Emiliano that serves seafood, game, and fresh homemade pasta as well as offering in-house caviar and champagne bar open late nights.
