To start planning your vacation to Hotel Vitale
With 200 rooms, the Vitale isn’t really a boutique hotel, yet certainly feels like one. The hotel has won many design awards, blending earthy, neutral colors to create an unassuming yet tastefully interesting feel.
Vitale has a privileged location overlooking the Bay Bridge and the Ferry Building, a former transport hub turned gourmet emporium. One Ferry building has an amazing market on Saturday mornings, foodie delights are then served from morning until night inside the market hall the rest of the week.
Ideally, try and go for the Superior Water View Rooms with partial harbor views, or even better the Deluxe Waterfront King Rooms offering better views. For families they have a Family Studio with two queen beds and also a sofa bed. Other rooms include the Superior Room which looks over the inner courtyard, the Deluxe City View rooms which lookout away from the harbor. For total indulgence, the Deluxe Circular Panoramic Suite offer the ultimate views and bags of space.
The Americano Restaurant and Cocktail Lounge is one of the places to visit in town, offering a wonderful Italian-Californian inspired menu and adjacent cocktail lounge complete with picture perfect views. This does get very busy so we would recommend booking a table over the weekend period. The Americano Restaurant is also a great place to enjoy a healthy breakfast or a long larger brunch at the weekends
The hotel's pride and joy is its spa which has many different treatments and uses some of the highest quality lotions and potions. The best part about it is the bathtubs on the roof, don't worry they are private!
There are 200 rooms starting with Superior Rooms looking over the inner courtyard. The Deluxe City Rooms don't offer harbor views. The Superior Water View Rooms offer partial harbor views. The Deluxe Waterfront King offer the better views including delightful bay window seats. The Deluxe Circular Panoramic Suite offers space and views in abundance.
The bathrooms are all very spacious which is hard to find in a City hotel room and they benefit from 'Fresh' toiletries.

When to go
San Francisco is a year-round destination but has a cool maritime climate. In the summer, the city’s famous fog rolls in mornings and evenings, creating a misty chill in the air. Spring sees the end of the rainy season, and the city’s pretty-in-pink cherry blossom trees dot the landscape. In Fall Indian Summer comes to San Francisco, bringing warm, dry days with plenty of sunshine. The very best time of year is August to October when temperatures are at their highest and days are often sunny.
