Los Angeles has a year-round climate. Summer (June - September) is the peak-tourist season, this is when the weather is hottest but beaches can be over crowded. January and February are the rainiest months. If you are visiting in May, June or July, watch out for the 'marine layer', a cloudy overcast, almost fog-like cloud which may affect the beach and first mile or so of the coastal strip, especially in the mornings.

Although the hotel has 395 guest rooms, it feels surprisingly spacious but not overwhelming. The guest rooms and suites are spread across two wings. The Wilshire Wing overlooks the fashionable corner of Wilshire Boulevard and the Beverly Wing which looks over the lush residential areas of Beverly Hills. All rooms are designed in classic European decor with cool cream tones the Beverly Wing offering a slightly more modern feel than the Wilshire Wing.
Although the surrounding area offers some superb dining options, it's definitely worth staying comfortably in the hotel for a little gourmet delight as well. Try Wolfgang Puck's steakhouse, "CUT". It attracts a stylish crowd and features a wonderful selection of distinct beef from all over the world and an extensive wine list to complement. The Beverly Wilshire's other dining option - the classy "The Blvd" serves meals throughout the day and has a great al fresco restaurant seating area - the perfect spot to see and be seen in Beverly Hills, perfect for a spot of relaxation after a full day in LA.
