Aman Tokyo - Visit to Kita-Kamakura

Take a trip to Kita-Kamakura with Aman Tokyo and the Engakuji temple. This Zen temple was established in 1282. Accompanied by Priest Soichi Takahatake explore this sacred area. Later, end by heading to the shopping district and to Hasedera Temple.

Enjoy a visit to Kita-Kamakura Engakuji Temple’s Butsunichian with Aman Tokyo. Starting at 8am take the train from Tokyo to Kita Kamakura. Your guide will be waiting for you there at 9:15am.

At 9:30am Engakuji priest will greet you and you will be taken on a tour inside Engakuji Temple. This area is known for this famous temple, named the only National Treasure in Kanagawa Prefecture. At 10:15am experience first hand a Zen meditation and lecture from the priest followed by a simple lunch reflecting the nature of this experience.

Then at 1pm you will make your way to Kamakura Shopping district with a stop at Myohonji Temple’s nature walk to reinstate your mind and soul.

If time allows, you will be able to visit the Great Buddha and Hasedera Temple’s gorgeous 30ft Wooden carved temple and one of the oldest in Kamakura. At 4pm you will be taken back to the station where you will return to Tokyo after a day full of culture and traditions.
