Norbulingka Summer Palace

Visit Norbulingka, also known as the Summer Palace for formers Dalai Lamas. The palace consists of 374 rooms of varying sizes. Admire the Tibetan-styled palaces and pay respect to the Buddha as you stroll around the garden.
In the Tibetan language, Norbulingka translates to “Treasure Garden”, named as such because it is the largest man-made garden in Tibet. First built in the mid-18th century, Norbulingka was expanded multiple times before reaching its current size of 19 hectares.
