Horse Hoof Temple Grottoes

Also known as Mati Si, the pagoda-shaped temple houses 7 floors and 21 grottoes. You will find a Tibetan and Chinese cave art, as well as the hoof print of the legendary flying horse. Time permitting, enjoy 1-hour hike or horse ride to Linsong Waterfall.
The legend of Mati Si dates all the way back to the 4th century. It is considered among the most important Buddhism grottoes and a masterpiece of Tibetan culture. The area is also surrounded by impressive alpine scenery.
