Tordrillo Mountain Lodge Experiences
While the lodge is known for its helicopter-led adventures, there are many other activities included during a stay at Tordrillo. With a choice of the rushing waters of the Talachulitna River and the calm waters of Judd Lake, the range of summer water sports is superb. From child-friendly swimming, canoeing, inflatable kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding, to more thrill-seeking activities that include wakeboarding, wake-surfing, and foil-boarding.
For those not in the know, a foil-board is a surfboard with a hydrofoil, which minimises the impact of choppy waters. It is a form of kiteboarding that allows the rider to ride the board up to 1-metre above the surface of the water. The lodge has five all-electric silent eFoils which can be customised with varying wing sizes to suit different body types and abilities. No experience is needed, and they claim to have you gliding within the hour.
Winter activities include cross country skiing with 10km of trails to explore, snowshoeing and fat tyre biking. Year-round, guests can also enjoy a sporting clay shooting range experience, yoga classes, and a chance to relax in the hot tub and sauna.
