Jinja Holidays

A warm welcome awaits those venturing to Jinja, around 100-kilometres east of Uganda’s capital Kampala. With a growing reputation as an outdoor adventure playground, whether you want to ride some of the best rapids in Africa, take a leisurely boat cruise, enjoy kayaking or slow rafting, the river Nile, which has its source in Jinja is at your disposal.

Jinja

Tucked between verdant green forest and the sloping banks of the Nile, Jinja is the source of the world’s second longest river, providing ample opportunities for outdoor adventure sports. The grade five rapids ensure some of Africa’s most exhilarating white-water rafting. More leisurely activities include horseback safaris, stand-up paddle-boarding and paragliding, although adrenalin junkies won’t want to miss out on some epic bungee jumping, quad and mountain biking opportunities. Afterwards, enjoy some relaxing beach time on the shores of Lake Victoria or browse the community markets for interesting souvenirs.
