The Golden Triangle used to be renowned for being one of the largest producers of opium and various organisations spent years trying to counteract this trade. As a result the Hall of Opium was built to educate people about the dangers of the drug. Exhibitions recount the history of the drug from when it first surface thousands of years ago to the modern day issues of abuse and addictions.
