Surrounded by the natural beauty of Brazil's northeast coast with its rugged sand dunes and warm waters, Zorah Beach Hotel is a haven of tranquility with luxurious, Asian-inspired decor and a secluded spot on Guajiru beach.

Drawing on the natural beauty of Brazil's northeast coast, Zorah Beach Hotel offers relaxation in abundance with lush gardens and luxurious bungalows enveloped by the region's shifting sand dunes and the warm Atlantic waters.

Its location just a couple of hours' drive from Fortaleza makes it the perfect halfway point on the way to or from the uber-cool surf beach of Jericoacoara, which is famed for its kitesurfing. Sharing this same stretch of coastline means that Praia de Guajiru shares the same windy conditions, and the hotel also boasts its own kitesurfing school for those who wish to break up the relaxation with some adventures out on the water.

Accommodation is a collection of 22 suites, bungalows and villas, spread throughout the tropical gardens and set back from the ocean front swimming pool, offering comfort, privacy and all the facilities you may need to help you unwind. All of the rooms have a hot tub and king-size beds.

Dining at Zorah Beach Hotel is all part of the experience, with fresh seafood and delicious local ingredients being used to create a predominantly Asian menu which reflects the feel of Zorah Beach perfectly. A beach bar provides a more casual setting for light snacks and a cooling cocktail, while a tantalising array of Indian can also be enjoyed straight from a Tandoor oven, a rare experience in Brazil.

Zorah Beach Hotel boasts its own kitesurfing school, making the most of the ideal weather conditions along this stretch of Brazil's coastline. The wind in this area is constant almost year-round but between July and January offers the most consistent conditions and around 18-35 knots every day. Apart from the obvious appeal of Zorah's kitesurfing school, activities nearby include excursions out into the surrounding sand dunes which turn to lagoons when the season is right, horseback riding and sandboarding, boat trips, hiking and simply relaxing on the area's many picturesque beaches.

Zorah Beach caters mostly to the domestic Brazilian market and therefore the Asian theme to the hotel can be slightly surprising to those expecting an authentic Brazilian resort. However, the food is delicious, the large stretch of white sandy beach in front of the hotel is incredible and the swimming pool is simply enormous. Additionally, you cannot fault the service from the team of wonderfully enthusiastic locals who discreetly on hand to cater to your every whim.
