The rooms are located across a wine country village complex of 17 structures many clad in local Napa fieldstone. Most rooms include four poster beds, vaulted ceilings, fireplaces, two-person spa tubs, rain showers and balconies on the upper floor levels. Selected suites also include steam showers and private garden patios.
Children are welcome at Hotel Yountville and there is a lovely pool open during the peak months. However, there are not specific facilities for children and the romantic and private nature of the resort means that the hotel is better suited for adult families and couples.
Hopper Creek Kitchen offers interesting and unique menus for breakfast lunch and dinner, and the Y Bar serves drinks and food poolside or through in-room dining. All meals are prepared using local products and fresh and organic ingredients whenever possible.

When to go
Like most California destinations, you can’t go wrong when picking a time of year to visit. Being inland, Napa Valley benefits from much higher summer temperatures than the cool coast, and is a year-round destination but best from April to October.
At the vineyards, September is typically the harvest month, although some varieties may be picked through October and November. Vineyards will be bare from December through February, with new buds returning in March and coming into full bloom by June.
Summer temperatures reach up to around 80 degrees Fahrenheit during the day, and cool off to about 50 in the evenings, so you’ll want to bring a variety of clothes and dress in layers. Winter highs are around 60 degrees with lows occasionally just below freezing. The region averages around 200 days of sunshine per year, so you should have plenty of good weather to enjoy the outdoors.
