Best time to Visit
Good time to visit
Average time to visit
Kenya is a dry country, with regional variations in temperature and rainfall. On the coast, the weather is tropical with high humidity in April and May, and occasional monsoon winds. Inland (including the Central Highlands and Rift Valley) the climate is temperate. The long rains fall from March to May and the short rains fall from late October to December. The best time to visit is usually July to February, and the wildebeest migration usually occurs from mid-July to September.

Days 1-5: Maasai Mara
Connect in Nairobi and fly straight into the heart of the Masai Mara, one of Africa's finest wildlife destinations. Stay at a private safari house with your own safari guide and seek out big cats, large herds of elephants and hippos wallowing in the rivers and the iconic grassy savannah plains.
Acacia House is one of three Mara bush homes, designed to be a home away from home, offering you total flexibility on your safari and plenty of space to relax together as a family. Two of the houses share a swimming pool, giving children somewhere to let off steam and parents a place to relax between game drives.
Spend your days enjoying morning and afternoon game-drives, guided bush walks (not suitable for young children), and visits to the nearby village where your children might play a game of football with the local kids. Each day will be different and planned by you alongside your guide, so if some of you want to stay behind and relax for an afternoon, or you don't want quite such an early start one morning, it's your call.
Accommodation: Acacia House (4 nights)
-
Days 5-10: Diani
You then fly directly to Diani, on the southern Kenya coast for some well-earned rest and relaxation at the beautiful Kinondo Kwetu. There are endless things to do here, including snorkelling, diving, fishing, stand-up paddleboarding, canoeing, horse-riding on the beach and tennis. And if you need a bit of pampering, indulge in massage treatments or unwind in the wood-fired sauna.
Accommodation: Kinondo Kwetu (5 nights)
