Live like an Olympian
Step back in time and become an Olympic athlete as you learn about the history of the Ancient Olympics, try your hand at some of the classic events and race around Athens' historic Panathenaic Stadium.
Beginning at the Zappeion, which was the site of the first Olympic Village, discover the history of the Olympic Games, which date back to the 8th century BC, and learn about which events were included and how the athletes trained. You'll also learn about the modern Olympics, which were reintroduced in 1896, before trying some of the events included in the Ancient Olympics. You'll learn how to throw javelin and discus, as well as having a go at newer events such as long jump, shot putt and relay races. Finally, you'll visit the Panathenaic Stadium, where the first Modern Olympics were held, for a race around its historic track.
