Today, drive to Gyantze, a well-preserved Tibetan old town while soaking in the stunning Tibetan landscape. Make a stop for a panoramic view of the holy Yamdrok Lake and make a wish by hanging your own praying flags.
If weather permits, enjoy a picnic by the lake or eat in a local restaurant. After lunch, proceed to Karo La pass at 5,020m where you can enjoy a spectacular view of the Karo La Glacier with snow peaked mountains contrasted with blue sky and gorgeous turquoise waters.
Continue the drive to Gyantze and enroute to visit the Pelkor Chode Monastery and the Kumbum with its stunningly unique architecture representing monasteries from the 13th to 15th century.
