Average time to visit

Cambodia is hot all year round and the best time to visit is during the dry season, which runs from November to April. It starts to get wetter in May and the wettest months are September and October. It is still possible to visit during this time as rain usually falls as short sharp storms. November is a fantastic month to visit Cambodia as it is very green after the rainy season and the lakes and rivers are full of water.

Situated just outside Siem Reap in Cambodia, the Anantara Angkor Resort is a peaceful five-star property, ideal for both relaxation and site-seeing. Spacious suites make this a good option for both couples and families.

The Anantara Angkor is only 10 minutes from the centre of Siem Reap, and only 15 minutes from the incredible Angkor Archaeological Park, making this a great resort for those looking to get away from hustle and bustle of the town whilst still being within easy reach of the sites, restaurants and bars.  

The resort has a clean and fresh feel about it. There is a lawn in the main courtyard, and plenty of plants and foliage dotted throughout the resort, making it feel lush and green.

The hotel aims to ensure complete relaxation during your stay. On arrival, you will be taken to the spa and given a welcome foot massage. The highest suite categories boast their own in-room spa areas, and include complimentary daily treatments, and if this wasn't relaxing enough, these suites also have complimentary mini bars!

All of the suites are spacious and comfortable, with modern amenities combined with tasteful decor that takes inspiration from Cambodia's rich heritage. There are 39 suites in total, all of which have a view of the pool.

There is one main restaurant that serves progressive Cambodian cuisine. The second restaurant is called L Lounge and has a much more relaxed atmosphere. Here you can enjoy comfort food, delicious coffees, and in the evening a couple of cocktails. Guests have a number of facilities to enjoy, including the spa, fitness room and salt water pool. For those looking to keep busy, there are also Khmer Cooking Classes, complimentary bicycles to explore the surrounding area, and complimentary tuk tuk rides into Siem Reap.

The suites at the Anantara Angkor are all very spacious, ranging from 46 sqm up to an enormous 235 sqm. The decor uses natural colours and textures, incorporating local design elements.


Children are welcome to stay at the Anantara Angkor Resort, but there are no specific facilities for them.


There are two restaurants at the resort. The signature restaurant, Chi, serves exciting Cambodian and pan-Asian cuisine. L Lounge is more casual, with a cafe style atmosphere. Here you can indulge in both western and pan-Asian comfort food, as well as afternoon tea and cocktails. Salt is the resort's poolside bar, serving light snacks and drinks from 10am until 6pm. Anantara is well known for their 'Dining by Design' concept, and the Anantara Angkor is no different, with private dining in a number of idyllic locations.

Unwind beside the resort's tranquil salt water pool, or for ultimate relaxation, head to the Anantara spa for one of their heavenly signature treatments.


The resort is close to the amazing Angkor Archaeological Park, where you can spend the day admiring some of the world's most famous temples. There are also complimentary bicycles and tuk tuk rides, for those wishing to further explore the surrounding area and town of Siem Reap.
