Alkina Lodge is a collection of three private residences in a remote National Park on the Great Ocean Road. Designed by a renowned architect, these contemporary properties are ideal for families or couples wanting a discreet hideaway.
Designed by one of the world’s leading environmental architects, Alkina Lodge is a collection of three private residences perched on a dramatic headland - each are ideal for parties of up to eight people. Overlooking Otway National Park, home to swamp wallabies and western grey kangaroos, this designer property is in a semi wilderness setting on a rugged and beautiful stretch of coastline on the mid point of the Great Ocean Road.
Designed as either a discreet hideaway for couples or the perfect place for family get-togethers, these contemporary residencies each offer four bedrooms and two bathrooms. The residences are self-catered but hampers and private chefs can also be arranged if you want to completely unwind and relax.
Alkina Lodge has four sumptuous bedrooms. Essentially minimalist in style, rooms are furnished with European leather furniture, antique Persian rugs and Italian designed lighting - this combined with the finest beds, duvets and cotton sheets makes for great sleep.
Alkina Lodge wholly welcomes children and the highly bespoke service here means they will be looked after like never before.
At Alkina Lodge you are hosted by your own private chef and housekeeper who are highly trained to anticipate your every need, nothing is too much trouble. Nannies are also available on request.
The chef at Alkina Lodge will go out of their way to prepare you whatever you want, be it fresh seafood, an Australian steak or a tasty salad. Champagne picnics, breakfast in bed, Bbq dinner under the stars, sunset canapés, all of this and more can be arranged at your asking. A range of treatments is available to soothe and pamper and highly skilled therapists are on hand. The lodge has a fantastic handcrafted telescope, binoculars, bicycles and can even arrange a drive in a classic car.
Alkina Lodge's surrounds offer wonderful cycling and wildlife walk opportunities. Children’s games, kites, Dvds and toys available on request and further afield the lodge can organise horse riding, helicopter scenic flights, wreck diving, whale watching, wine tasting, golf, game fishing and motorbiking, If there is something specific you want to do not on this list, Moonlight Escape will no doubt be able to organise it.

This collection of private houses is set just off the Great Ocean Road and on the doorstep to beautiful Cape Otway national Park. The houses are very eco sensitive and are the perfect retreat for a family or couple for a few days when exploring this lovely part of Victoria. The chef comes and cooks fresh local produce for you at the end of a day out on the Great Ocean walking track discovering deserted beaches and listening to your guide’s stories of shipwrecks and fascinating history of the area. I woke up the next morning in my huge and unbelievably comfortable bed to look out of the window to see kangaroos hopping across the lawn in this deserted but spectacularly beautiful wilderness area.
