Best time to visit
Good time to visit
Average time to visit

April to October is best for time for visiting Peru’s Andean region and main highlights. It is typically sunny in the day and cold at night due to altitude. Heavy rains last from December to end of February with January and February being the wettest months. The Amazon is generally hot, wet and humid year round. Peru is very popular in the high season, especially during their many cultural festivals such as Inti Raymi on 24 June, so best to book well in advance.

  • Colca Canyon: Dramatic Landscapes & Quiet Reflection

    At a Glance

Days 10–11 | Colca Canyon: Vast Horizons & Refined Seclusion Journey into the dramatic landscapes of the Colca Canyon and settle into Las Casitas, A Belmond Hotel, a tranquil hideaway set within terraced gardens overlooking the valley. Your private casita offers warmth, space and uninterrupted views — a refined base from which to absorb the canyon’s scale.

Early mornings bring the chance to witness condors rising on thermal currents, while gentle walks reveal traditional villages and ancient agricultural terraces. Afternoons invite slower pleasures: time by the pool, a restorative spa treatment or simply lingering on your terrace as the light shifts across the canyon walls. These days feel expansive yet deeply comfortable — a thoughtful pause in one of Peru’s most striking natural settings.
