Originally built in the style of the Belle Epoque, by French architect Claude Sahut, the mansion served as a seaside retreat during the presidency of Augusto Leguia in the 1920s. The mansion has since been lovingly restored and brought back to life as a stunning luxury boutique hotel maintaining a classic colonial design. It is a far cry from the high-rise hotels that poke through Lima's skyline in neighbouring Miraflores and San Isidro providing guests with a new type of hotel experience in the capital.
Each of Hotel B’s 20 guests rooms are unique and elegantly designed with private terraces, patios, and foyers. Many rooms have high ceilings and exposed wood beams that add to the charm and history of this distinguished hotel. Some of the rooms are located in an annexe building and all are equipped with modern comforts. A highlight is the rooftop lounge serving excellent evening cocktails and views towards the Pacific Ocean. Dine at Hotel B’s signature restaurant featuring Peruvian-Mediterranean cuisine by celebrated chef, Oscar Velarde. The hotel has been rewarded with Relais & Châteaux status.
Hotel B is located right next door to Lucia de la Puente Gallery, one of Lima's most acclaimed arts houses, with which it shares an artistic vision. Lucia de la Puente Gallery will be open for the hotel's guests for private viewings. To top it off, Hotel B boasts its own collection of contemporary and traditional Peruvian and Latin American art which will be displayed throughout the historic mansion.
