The Amazon rainforest is one of the most biodiverse habitats on the planet, and is absolutely fascinating to explore. Take your pick from walking trails through the jungle, learning about medicinal uses of plants and how the trees and plants adapt to their environment. Look out for colourful birdlife, lizards and insects, too. The waterways offer a different experience, cruising by boat down the river and looking out for turtles, caimans and even piranhas.
