Average time to visit
The best time to visit Myanmar is during the dry season from November to April. At this time the warm and sunny days are ideal for sightseeing throughout the country. The temperatures start to rise in March and May to September which is best avoided as this is the rainy season when sightseeing can become difficult.

Viewpoint Lodge is a sweet hotel for those who want to be close to the town of Nyaungshwe and to be able to go out in the evenings for dinner or drinks. Saying that, the hotel has fantastic food! One thing I would mention is that it is close to quite a noisy road, but I still had a very good night's sleep here! The rooms are stylish and comfortable.

Located in the heart of the action, View Point Lodge is the perfect platform to watch the busy world of Inle Lake go by on both land and lake. Situated just outside Nyaung Shwe village the hotel has a unique location and is the perfect spot for those who want to feel in the thick of local life. I loved the design of the hotel which was so welcoming and warm with some fantastic Burmese touches giving it a real sense of place. Dining at the hotel was incredible and some of the best food that I had in Myanmar, both western and local cuisines. The bread and pastries especially, which are homemade on site, were fantastic and I most definitely had one (or more like) three more than I really needed....
