Weather-wise, the best times to go are spring and autumn, when temperatures are 20°C to 25°C by day and at least 10°C by night, and November to February, with cooler nights but similar daytime temperatures and light rainfall possible. The weather in March and April features sporadic, light rainfall with some sandstorms in April, while June sees dusty siroccos (desert winds) sweep through the city. From mid-June to August temperatures rise into the 30s and occasionally 40s.

Description
Riad Palais Ommeyad is a renovated 18th Century Palace located in the old medina in Fes, decorated with traditional Moroccan décor with modern touches. The all-suite hotel features a spa with heated pool and hammam as well as an outdoor pool.
The riad- a traditional Moroccan house focussed around a central courtyard – is ideally located to explore Fes with the Karaouiyne Mosque just a 20-minute walk away and the popular street markets of Fes also a short distance away. The Riad’s suites and communal areas are decorated in a mixture of Moroccan and Arabian styles with decorative tiles adorning the walls and colourful glass in the window frames.
The expansive central courtyard area features an outdoor terrace and a large, ornate swimming pool. Lined with trees, the area is a welcome space to retreat to after a day or exploring the city, or a long journey. The hotel restaurant serves up traditional Moroccan breakfasts as well as full menu featuring traditional Moroccan and Mediterranean dishes, with influences from Arabic Berber and Jewish cuisine. Enjoy fresh Moroccan pastries, fluffy couscous, tagines, lentils and a vast array of other dishes all fragrantly flavoured with popular spices such as cumin, ginger or saffron. The spacious suites are all air conditioned with a seating area and overlook the pool and central courtyard. The en-suite bathrooms have large jacuzzi bathtubs and comfortable bath robes.
