This full day tour starts at the Bois Chéri Tea Plantation, where you can learn about the tea making process from plant to cup and try a range of teas whilst enjoying a captivating view over the plains. Next you will be transported back in time to a traditional colonial house in Saint Aubin, built around an ancient sugar mill chimney and offering a chance to observe all the manufacturing stages of sugar milling as well as how the vanilla orchid is transformed into the vanilla bean in the Vanilla House. A delicious local lunch is served at the Andrea Lodges nature sanctuary before you are escorted to 'La Vanille Réserve des Mascareignes', a nature park filled with animals such as crocodiles, monkeys and tortoises. The last stop takes you to 'Gris Gris', a grassy clifftop where you can admire the power of nature with views of the crashing waves against the black rock coastline, a true contrast to the many reef-protected beaches of the island of Mauritius.
