Kuching Food Tour
You will start the tour at a traditional coffee shop where you can sample some of the Sarawak specialties. Due to the multi-cultural history of Kuching, there is a plethora of flavours available from these types of shops, often with Chinese or Indian influences as well as Malay favourites.
You will then head to the bustling and historic Gambier Street. This street is renowned for its spice shops as well as fresh produce. Learn about the different spices, as well as local delicacies such as 'Kek Lapis'; a Sarawak layer cake, and Teh Tarik; a milky tea drink with a special pouring technique. Should you wish, you can also sample a morsel or two!
The whole tour lasts around three hours. The food you will try is not hugely heavy, and so equates to a light meal.
