Dating back to 1870, the Grand Hotel Majestic is a beautiful property in Verbania on the western shore of Lake Maggiore. This grande dame of a hotel is a fine example of Belle Epoque architecture and both the hotel and area are steeped in history. Surrounded by beautiful gardens, the hotel has a lakefront position and plenty of areas to relax and take in the stunning vistas.
There are 80 rooms here, forty of which are double rooms, and forty are junior suites and suites. Many have balconies and sea views, and all enjoy high ceilings and are decorated in a classic, traditional style with plush velvets and floral prints.
Facilities include an indoor swimming pool, roof terrace, spa, gym and tennis courts. There is plenty to do here, including boat trips on the lake, kayaking, visits to the beautiful Borromean Islands, cycling, walking and daytrips to the Barolo wine region.
The slow food movement was born in Piedmont and these philosophies are reflected in the superb cuisine served at the Grand Hotel Majestic's restaurant, La Beola. Sample local delicacies accompanied by fine wines, and enjoy dining on the terrace during the summer months.

Luminous and inviting, guests will enjoy a separate spacious sitting room and ample wardrobe. These finely decorated and furnished rooms also have marble bathrooms with a separate shower and bathtub.
Extending over two floors, the suites on the Executive floor are equipped with a spacious terrace and enjoy a magnificent view over the whole lake.
The day area with an ample wardrobe is on the ground floor facing the terrace. The night area and a small sitting area can be found upstairs in the loft.

One room is extended over two floors; the night area and the dressing nook are below, while the sitting room and bathroom are in the loft.
Children are welcome but there are no specific facilities.
La Beola, the hotel’s main restaurant, offers grand elegance mixed with a relaxed vibe, where looking after guests is the main focus. The restaurant benefits from an enviable view over Lago Maggiore thanks to the restaurant’s large windows. Traditional recipes are offered on the menu but reinvented with modern flare using a refined balance of flavors. The menu is accompanied by a good selection of high label wines and the best of Piedmont wine production.
There are a large number of activities on offer in and around Grand Hotel Majestic. From trekking, sailing, canyoning, kayaking, and bike excursions by the lake, to exploring the nearby Cannero Riviera with its numerous trails leading to ancient villages and spectacular mountain landscapes. When to go
The best time to visit Lago Maggiore is during Spring and Fall when the weather is ambient and you can avoid the summer crowds. Later in the Summer it is still wonderful but expect more people and high temperatures.
