Desert Pearl is a characterful Inn located in the heart of Springdale along the banks of the Virgin River. Zion's dramatic landscapes of sculptured canyons and soaring cliffs surround the Inn, with the park's entrance and visitor center just a short walk away.

With car access limited to maintain the peacefulness of the park, staying in Springdale offers immediate access to the park on foot, by complimentary shuttle bus or on a mountain bike. It's easy once there to arrange activities for yourself through local outfitters to go biking, tubing, climbing and (Zion's most famous activity) hiking the slot canyon of the Virgin River, adventures that are not available in the park itself.

With just 73 contemporary and comfortable guest rooms ideally designed for relaxing after a long day exploring Zion National Park, the Desert Pearl is our favorite Springdale lodging. Impressively built using local stone, redwood and reclaimed sleepers that once supported the Great Salt Lake Railroad, the inn blends well with its canyon surroundings.

All rooms are complete with handcrafted furnishings, wooden floors, king or twin beds, sofa sleepers and contemporary kitchens and bathrooms. Choose a room with a view of the tree-lined Virgin River from your private patio or balcony, or go poolside to be conveniently located for a cooling dip and some relaxation on a hot summer's day.

All 73 rooms are stylishly decorated and contemporary in style, each with their own private outdoor patio or terrace with pool, river or lodge view, heating or air-conditioning, a kitchenette with wet bar, fridge and microwave, TV and WiFi.

Desert Pearl Inn has a restaurant on site which is a perfect option for breakfast or dinner, whilst Springdale has numerous cafes and restaurants, as well as small grocery stores for making a picnic or buying breakfast items.

From April through to October, Zion National Park is only accessible by shuttle bus that stops directly in front of the Desert Pearl Inn.

Come spring, summer or autumn, Desert Pearl Inn provides a perfect base for exploring the park. After a day of hiking the famous trails of Zion, guests may choose to swim in the pool or soothe muscles in the hot tub. Enjoy horseback riding, rock climbing, mountain biking or picnics along the Virgin River. Browse local shops and local art galleries or take scenic day trips to neighboring parks (Kolob Canyon, Cedar Breaks, Bryce Canyon, Coral Pink Sand Dunes, Grand Canyon's North Rim and Lake Powell) - all within driving distance from the Inn.

Visit www.nps.gov/zion for Little Rangers programs running through the summer, and make your first stop the parks Visitor Center for information from hiking trails such as the beautiful Angels Landing to wildlife watching opportunities in the park.
