Fishing Lough Corrib

Covering 44,000 acres, Lough Corrib is the largest of the three lakes in the area and well known for its brown trout, salmon and pike fishing. Frank Costello, your fishing Ghillie (guide) and Lough Corrib connoisseur, will be delighted to tailor your experience to suit your ability and preferences. This activity is suitable both for total beginners and competent fishermen alike, offering spectacular scenery and views of Ashford Castle. Choose a full day experience and enjoy a delicious picnic lunch on one of the islands and even the chance to cook your catch!
Competent fishermen can also visit nearby Lough Mask and Lough Carra, or further afield in Connemara. The Cong River at the hotel is a great option for very experienced and able-bodied salmon fishermen. All fishing gear is supplied but we recommend guests to bring warm, waterproof clothing, boots and sunglasses.
