Even if you don't enrol for a week's course at the amazing Ballymaloe Cookery School, it is definitely worth booking an afternoon masterclass and be gently inducted into the principles and practice of the slow food movement.

You will be given instruction in how to prepare a signature dish that might include herbs, vegetables, orchard fruits and edible flowers grown in the kitchen gardens of Ballymaloe, the best of the day’s catch from the fishing boats at Ballycotton, or wild game, organic meat and cheeses from the local woods and pastures.
