Full day excursion to El Peñol and Guatapé
Medellin sits surrounded by the picturesque landscapes of Antioquia, which are dotted with lakes and mountains. Head to Guatapé on the outskirts of Medellin to climb the Peñol Rock, which boasts incredible views over Antioquia's countryside.

Leave the hustle and bustle of Medellin behind to explore the village of Guatapé with its quaint, pastel-coloured homes. Then head for the hydro-electric dam at Guatapé, where the Peñol Rock can be found rising up out of the centre of the reservoir. Climb up the many stairs to soak in the views from this incredible lookout point, from where the whole of the Guatapé reservation can be seen (optional).
After lunch, visit the Guatapé reservoir which you will tour by boat, as part of a leisurely, one hour journey. You will be then be transferred back to Medellin, admiring the scenery as you go. Tour last approximately 8 hours.
